La Samaritaine: the Parisian department store will reopen on May 28

We stopped believing it would happen ! 15 years since La Samaritaine, the department store on rue de Rivoli now owned by the LVMH Group, was under construction. And still no reopening on the horizon !
A rumor circulates for the end of May
Still, it looks like we are getting closer to some good news. Because things are progressing quickly behind the walls of this establishment founded in 1870 by Ernest Cognacq. While it is already possible to admire Frantz Jourdain's polychrome enamelled lavas from rue de l'Arbre-Sec, it seems that inside the stands of the 600 referenced brands are practically only waiting for customers. In any case, this is the rumor that has circulated in recent days, a Parisian food critic by announcing on his site a reopening on May 28.

A temple dedicated to shopping, beauty and gastronomy
Probable, if we are to believe the information screens already ready to welcome customers on the 20,000 m2 and spread over 10 levels, dedicated to shopping, beauty and gastronomy.
On the "Rivoli" side, you will find a shopping center and on the "Pont Neuf" part, you can discover Cheval Blanc, a palace with 26 rooms and 46 suites, a gourmet restaurant, a swimming pool and a huge green terrace to make Parisian rooftop owners jealous.

On the food side, some names have already leaked. We will find an annex of the Maison Plisson, the Gobelins, Dalloyau, Prunier roasting plant, a bakery and pastry offering signed Eric Kayser, but also great restaurants whose names still remain confidential ...
A little more patience before rediscovering the charm of this architectural monument where Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which remains in the hearts of all Parisians.
